Following their 2010 release Selfish Machines, San Diego hardcore quartet Pierce the Veil returned with Collide with the Sky in the summer of 2012. This full-length was Pierce the Veil's third studio album as well as their first for Fearless Records, following the release of their first two albums on long-running punk and hardcore label Equal Vision. The album incorporates more than one duet between high-pitched vocalist Vic Fuentes and other peers from the post-hardcore scene. The first single, \"King for a Day,\" features guest vocals from Kellin Quinn from Sleeping with Sirens, and \"Tangled in the Great Escape\" features Jason Butler from Letlive.
Collide with the Sky is the third album by San Diego experimental rock group Pierce the Veil. It was released on July 27, 2012 under Fearless Records in the United States. The album's lead single \"King for A Day\" was released on June 5, 2012 for digital download and contemporary radio. The single features Sleeping With Sirens singer Kellin Quinn. The second single titled \"Bulls in the Bronx\" was released on June 25, 2012 for digital download. The band supported the album throughout the 2012 Van's Warped Tour in the summer.

LOS ANGELES, CA - (Thursday, August 14, 2014) -- Pierce the Veil, who rocketed to success with their 2012 release Collide With The Sky, have been sequestered at Dan Korneff's Sonic Deris Recording Studio in New York writing and recording a brand new album due for a January 2015 release on Fearless Records. As yet untitled, the highly-anticipated release is being produced by Korneff (A Day To Remember, Paramore) who worked with the band on Collide.
The past two years have been a whirlwind for Pierce the Veil. On July 22, 2012, Collide With The Sky debuted at #12 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart as well as #1 on the Top Hard Rock chart, the Top Modern Rock chart, the Top Alternative Albums chart, and the Top Rock Albums chart. MTV named the band a Buzzworthy Breakthrough Artist, and to date, Collide has sold nearly a quarter-million copies in the U.S. alone. That same year, PTV performed on the Main Stage for the entire Vans Warped Tour, then headlined the sold out, 34-major market date \"Collide With the Sky\" U.S. tour. In 2013, they co-headlined (with All Time Low) the sold out \"Spring Fever\" North American tour, and then played a massive run with A Day To Remember. PTV went on to sweep the Alternative Press Readers Poll, taking awards for Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Live Band of the Year, Cover Art of the Year, Music Video of the Year (for \"King For A Day\" which has racked up an astounding 32-million YouTube views), Best Band Merch, Best Drummer and Best Bassist of the Year. \"King For A Day\" was awarded \"Best Video of the Year\" at the Kerrang! Awards, and earlier this year, the band's critically-acclaimed documentary, \"This is a Wasteland,\" picked up a Revolver Golden God statue for Best Film & Video. Most recently, PTV received seven nominations at the first annual Alternative Press Music Awards, taking home three \"Skullys\" - the most wins for the night - for Best Bassist, Best Drummer, and Song of the Year (All Time Low's \"A Love Like War\" with Vic on vocals).
