After choosing the first reference point, its coordinates are displayed into the From window and the path can be start. Likewise, we can choose the second reference point into the To window and the pipe line can be finish.

The pipe line will be available to the designer to make the necessary changes to the pipe line, such as cutters or connectors. After making the changes, if the designer select the Create Pipe Line option on the dialog-box, then the pipe line will be created or the dialog-box SmartRoute Interface will be closed and the pipe line will be saved to the database.

Smart Routes are the new functionality that allows designers to create pipe lines without limits. It´s similar to the way the pipe line functionality works, but with a higher level of functionality. To use Smart Routes the designer has to turn on the SmartRoutes option in the Tools window. After that, you can create the pipe line as usual. The pipe line feature will now work with it´s own functionality, and the designer will be able to use it the same way as the Pipe Line feature.

If the designer wants to change the connection, he/she will have the possibility to do it by selecting the connection type that he/she wants to use, for example threaded or concentric . To start the creation of the pipe line, when the Create Pipe Line option is selected, then the designer has to choose if he/she wants to create the pipe line with connectors or without connectors, using straight pipe or cutters .

A final click in the SmartRoute Interface will be enough to save the path of the pipe line and its starting and ending point. After that, a confirmation dialog-box will be displayed.

Then, select a second point as the exit of the pipe line. This second point will be automatically displayed in the To window. Again, the coordinates of both points are displayed and also the reference axes in which the pipe line will end.

Use the graphic controls in From window in order to select a desired nozzle. Then press the button OK in order to save the connection path and press the button Cancel in order to cancel the operation.
